Tallahassee Solar Projects

Tallahassee’s City Commission approved a plan for the utility to solicit proposals for a 20 MW utility-scale solar project. Stanley Consultants studied the requirements to connect this new energy with the existing electrical grid through feasibility, system impact and facilities studies, and later designed transmission and substation improvements to deliver the power. The city eventually doubled the size of the original system, which gives residents the choice to purchase the lowest cost renewable energy.
